Harrow Council is gearing up once again for its fabulous summer event, Under One Sky, a cultural event drawing together all members of the community for a day of fun and live entertainment.

Ritu Sethi will be Stage Managing and Comparing the event on Sunday July 2nd, 2006 promises to be a spectacular occasion for all the family, with our headline acts, including Jay Sean, Rishi Rich, Juggy D, Jazz Jamaica, Silinder Pardesi, S.W Storm and the Khan Bros Qawwali Band.
Other top acts at the event, which also marks the beginning of the Harrow Arts Festival, include Chi 2, with their Eastern tinged double electric violin assaults, Mukka, taking the audience on a melancholic journey through Transylvania, La Xula, evoking the spirits with flamenco, arabic, kletzmer and latin influences, Flamenco Aire with their powerful dancers and guitarists and Romani Rad, a group of Gypsy dancers and musicians from Poland. Performances from local professional groups including the Harrow based world and UK bollywood youth champions, internationally recognised kathak and bharatnatyam dancers, prize winning youth, community and cultural groups will also be showcased at Under One Sky along with other activity as listed below.
The day will host a massive 1000 strong parade drawn from the traditions of carnival and featuring samba bands, dancers, carnival performers, dancers, a scottish marching band and hundreds of children from schools and playschemes around Harrow.
There will be circus workshops, displays, visual arts workshops, exhibitions, kite-making, flying, a community film festival, soccer with Watford Football Club, Netball, Kabbadi, Skate-board and BMX bike activity, a World Food Tent and a fun-fair.
